‘I Don’t Need Paid Consultants’: Arab-American Michigan Voter Explains Why He’s Voting Trump

As Michigan voters headed to the polls to vote in Tuesday’s primary, one Arab-American voter explained to Fox News why he was planning to vote for former President Donald Trump in 2024: “[President Joe Biden] shot us in the back.”

Mike Hacham madę an appearance on “America’s Newsroom,” where he explained that Biden’s economic policies — and his embrace of green initiatives, especially with regard to the automotive industry — were the driving force behind his support for Trump.

“Are you voting your job? Are you voting the war? Help us understand where you are in your support for Donald Trump,” anchor Bill Hemmer prompted Hacham.

“So it’s a whole combination,” Hacham replied. “Biden has repeatedly lied to my community. They took our votes for granted within my community — and not only within the Arab-American community but in the metro Detroit area. Let’s face it: Biden had made promises and failed on those promises. Biden has constantly lied, time and time again.”

Hacham went on to talk about the Biden administration’s repeated pushes to move the automotive industry toward more electric vehicles — a move that he said the industry was clearly not ready for — and the rampant inflation that has been the hallmark of the Biden economy thus far.

“Auto workers, by the time they get their paycheck, can barely put food on the table for their families. I see it firsthand on the ground,” Hacham explained. “I don’t need paid consultants from D.C. or experts to tell me that the economy is bad. We see it on the ground here first.”

Hemmer brought up the issue of the ongoing war between Israel and Hamas, noting that some Arab-Americans are displeased with Biden over his support for Israel in that conflict, and asked whether Hacham might reconsider his vote if Biden were able to assist in negotiating a ceasefire in Gaza.

“Absolutely not,” Hacham replied. “A ceasefire is beyond the debate of whether myself or Arab Americans will be voting for Biden. He basically divorced us. He basically shot us in the back by his failed policies and promises. We need to bring jobs back to America.”

Hacham went on to say that he opposed funding foreign wars when that money could be invested in American industrial cities like Detroit, Pittsburgh, and others.
