President Joe Biden faced widespread backlash to his Thursday night State of the Union speech as non-Democrats panned it as the “most partisan” address they’ve ever seen from a president.
Biden repeatedly mocked and taunted Republicans throughout the night as he tried to paint a rosy picture of his first term in office.
The 81-year-old president, who is trailing former President Donald Trump in the polls, yelled throughout his speech and appeared to talk faster than he normally does.
“If this is Joe Biden making a case that he is a sane and rational person in charge of a moderate policy agenda, he’s…not doing it,” said The Daily Wire’s Ben Shapiro.

“Biden is just off,” said former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer. “His tone, his speed of delivery, his loud punchy way of speaking, is really weird. This speech is odd.”
Donald Trump Jr. added, “If you actually believe that the State of the Union is strong and getting stronger under Joe Biden, then you’re probably spending too much time smoking crack with Hunter Biden!”
The Border Patrol Union posted on X: “The most arrogant, self-absorbed, clueless and angry loser ever. Never held a real job. Lifetime political hack. Joe Biden is the epitome of what so many Americans despise about politicians.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) said on his “Verdict” podcast that out of the 12 State of the Union speeches he’s watched, “This was by far, the worst I’ve ever seen.”

“So, this was a campaign speech. But it was an exceptionally bad campaign speech,” Cruz said. “So, Biden was angry. He was bitter. He was screaming. He was extreme. And he was completely out of touch. The entire speech reminded me of a grumpy old man standing on his front porch screaming at the kids get off my front lawn.”
The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles, who was a guest on Cruz’s podcast, called the speech “very odd” because Biden “was yelling and slurring his words” and his cadence was off the whole night.

Ukraine and potato chips were more important to the President than Laken Riley.

Biden is essentially giving the same speech he gave 50 years ago and Woodrow Wilson gave over 100 years ago. Class warfare, soak the rich and businesses. Tax and spend and borrow. Hey, Joe. Everyone paid more taxes than Hunter. And you’ve been in government forever. I guess…

This is the most partisan State of the Union address I’ve ever seen. #StateOfTheUnion

Joe Biden just covered potato chips and Snickers in the #SOTU before he mentioned the crisis at the border.

Six Americans are being held hostage by Hamas right now. 34 were murdered on October 7. And it can’t even make the first hour of this speech. Stunning.

We had a secure border. Then President Biden ripped up our border policies that worked.
He doesn’t need Congress. He simply needs to reverse his reckless policies.

If you want confirmation that America lacks a serious policy on China and Iran, just go back and read the transcript from last night’s SOTU.

Last night, the State of the Union sounded more like the State of the Campaign. President Biden attacked his GOP opponent, labeled his opponents as threatening democracy, and even confronted the Supreme Court justices sitting in front of him that the voters will fix their wagons.

That was by far the most disastrous state of the union address I’ve ever witnessed — in my 52 years on this planet.
— Mike Lee (@BasedMikeLee) March 8, 2024
This is already easily the worst State of the Union speech we’ve ever heard in our lifetime. Angry, slurring, accusatory, hyper partisan. A disaster for Biden.

One Angry Biden Lie After Another
A demagogic fuming Biden gave another Phantom of the Opera speech blasting conservatives for all the destruction that he has caused and has resulted in his own historic unpopularity.

This is a political speech — it’s divisive.
Joe Biden is not a leader.
People can’t buy groceries or pay their gas bills, but here he is dividing Americans against each other.
Where is the hope? Where are the solutions?
