One of the greatest boxers in history, Floyd Mayweather Jr., displayed his staunch support for the state of Israel during a recent visit.
Mayweather fought professionally for two decades and retired undefeated, winning 15 major world championships from super featherweight to light middleweight. In response to the Hamas massacre of over 1200 Israelis on October 7, Mayweather used his personal jet to deliver food and other supplies to Israel.
“The aircraft, called Air Mayweather, also transported bulletproof vests for Israel Defense Force (IDF) soldiers, which was handed out by his pilots, many of which included US Army and US Air Force veterans,” Rabbi Shmuel Reichman noted, adding, “Mayweather has also since emerged as a vocal advocate for the Jewish people during the recent rise in worldwide antisemitism.”
Reichman also shared a photo of Mayweather visiting the Western Wall in Jerusalem, saying that the boxer is “continuing to display his support for Israel and the Jewish People.”
Thank you Floyd Mayweather! 🇮🇱 🙌🏽

Mayweather wrote Tuesday on Instagram, “Exploring the globe with my team on my annual world tour. This leg of my journey has brought me to Israel. We’re excited to learn more of its history and expand our knowledge. Let’s spread love and positivity together!”
Mayweather also visited with United Hatzalah, the Israeli emergency rescue team whose response time is typically 90 seconds to any emergency in the entire state of Israel. The organization bestowed on him its “Lifesaving Award.”
“United Hatzalah’s activity is astonishing and I hope that the entire world adopts the model of providing medical treatment within 90 seconds. United Hatzalah volunteers are world champions of lifesaving,” Mayweather said.
“It was an honor for us to host the incredible Floyd Mayweather, a true friend of United Hatzalah and of the people of Israel, who came to Israel especially in order to express solidarity and support,” Eli Beer, President and Founder of United Hatzalah, stated. “He took the time to come and see the amazing work of our thousands of volunteers in times of routine and during these challenging times. It’s a big honor for us, and we are thankful for his generous support. I was pleased to give Floyd our ‘Lifesaving Award.’ which was handed to him using a drone, that our drone unit can use in times of emergency to send medical equipment from the air in areas that are hard to access. I thank Floyd for his support for United Hatzalah and for the people of Israel.”
In the wake of the October 7 Hamas massacre of over 1200 Israelis, Mayweather wrote, “I stand with Israel against the Hamas terrorists. Hamas do not represent the people of Palestine but are a terrorist group that are attacking innocent lives! I stand for all humans and wish for the safe return of all Americans and Israelis and any human beings that were kidnapped as hostages during these horrific war crimes. This is not a time for politics. This is a time for safety first and foremost. God Bless America. God Bless Israel. God Bless Humankind!”
