Michael Knowles To Attend State Of The Union With Tennessee Congressman

Daily Wire host Michael Knowles will attend the State of the Union on Thursday evening as a guest of Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN).

Ogles, who is in his first term in Congress, will bring Knowles to President Joe Biden’s 2024 State of the Union address, where the president is expected to attack former President Donald Trump and and argue his case for reelection in November. Ogles has been sharply critical of Biden over his handling of the border crisis and filed to impeach the president last year over his “illicit family business dealings and exploitation of taxpayer resources.”

“I am thrilled to welcome Michael J. Knowles to Capitol Hill as my guest for the State of the Union,” Ogles said in a statement. “He is an incredible voice for the conservative movement, offering thoughtful challenges and fresh perspectives. Not only do we share strong convictions but a love of Tennessee and the values it represents.”

Knowles said that it was an honor for him to attend the speech with Ogles. Biden’s address is slated to begin at around 9:00 p.m. EST.

“It’s a great honor to attend the State of the Union — and all the more so as the guest of Congressman Ogles, who has proven himself to be among the most principled and courageous conservatives, not only in Congress or the State of Tennessee, but in the country,” Knowles said. “I look forward to the President’s address as we all look forward to the course correction that will follow come November.”

During his Wednesday show, Knowles talked about how Democrats have invited women like Texas doctor Austin Dennard who have publicly advocated for abortion and criticized pro-life laws. He said that this showed Biden planned on campaigning on abortion and attacking states that have enacted pro-life protections.

“I will very much look forward to being there, not only to witness some history happen,” he said. “But also to provide a little bit of a philosophical counterbalance, a political counterbalance to some really heinous guest decisions.”

Biden is expected to push for more money for Ukraine, promote abortion, and address the illegal immigration crisis that has exploded under his watch. The speech comes as his approval rating remains near record lows and polling consistently shows him behind Trump in key swing states.

Many will be watching the speech to see how he physically holds up and if he speaks clearly amid concerns about his health and age. Last month, it was revealed that a special counsel declined to press charges against him over his handling of classified documents in part because of his memory issues.
