CIA Lies: Shocking Oswald Secrets Unearthed!

November 22, 1963 - Dallas, TX

CIA Caught in Web of Deception!

Holy smokes, folks! Newly released documents from 2025 have blown the lid off the CIA’s sneaky games with Lee Harvey Oswald, the guy blamed for JFK’s 1963 assassination. These papers, pried loose under the JFK Records Act, scream one thing loud and clear: the CIA lied through its teeth about knowing Oswald before that fateful Dallas day. Let’s dig into the lengths the agency went to hide their tracks.

Axios reporter, Marc Caputo, breaks the story

CIA’s Secret Agent Shenanigans

First up, meet George Joannides, the CIA’s master of disguise, who moonlighted as “Howard Gebler” with a fake driver’s license. This guy ran the Cuban Student Directorate (DRE) in Miami, which—get this—had a run-in with Oswald in New Orleans in 1963. Oswald was handing out pro-Castro flyers when DRE folks clashed with him. One responding police officer said the incident seemed staged. Unbelievably, the clash wound up sparking a televised debate between Oswald and the DRE. What are the odds? Yet, the CIA swore they had no clue about Oswald. Hilarious, right? Joannides even played gatekeeper for a congressional probe in the 1970s, conveniently forgetting to mention his DRE gig. Talk about a fox guarding the henhouse!

Spy Games and Sneaky Surveillance

Meanwhile, the CIA was snooping on Oswald like he was the star of their spy flick. They rifled through his mail when he was in the Soviet Union from 1959 to 1962, with agent Reuben Efron jotting down notes about Oswald’s chats with his mom. Fast forward to 1963, and they tracked him in Mexico City, where he was cozying up to Soviet and Cuban embassy folks.

Lying to Congress Like It’s a Sport

Here’s where it gets rich: they didn’t just fib once; they turned lying into an Olympic event. They misled the Warren Commission in 1964, the Church Committee in 1975, and the House Select Committee on Assassinations in 1978. Bigwigs like CIA Director Richard Helms and counterintelligence chief James Angleton swore Oswald was a nobody to them. Yet, those 2025 documents spill the beans: the CIA was all over Oswald like flies on honey.

Was Oswald a CIA Pawn?

Now, the million-dollar question: was Oswald a CIA stooge? The CIA’s still holding back 44 files that could spill more tea. While there’s no proof yet that Oswald was a full-on agent, the agency’s hush-hush antics make you wonder what they’re so scared of.

What’s the Real Scoop?

So, here’s the deal: the CIA’s lies about their Oswald connection are as clear as a Texas summer day. They watched him, worked with groups he “bumped into,” and then played dumb for decades. But does this mean they planned JFK’s murder? For many the answer is, “Yes,” but at the very least, they lied about handling Oswald. America is staring down WW3, with wars in Ukraine and Israel, and we need reliable Intel. After 60 years of the CIA lying to the American people, do you trust them to advise President Trump?
