100 Days of Media Hoaxes: Trump Admin Fights Back Hard

In a stunning move that has the press corps reeling, the White House released a bombshell report today documenting what they call “100 days of hoaxes” about the Trump administration. Since January’s inauguration, media outlets have pushed dozens of false stories targeting President Trump and his team. From phony claims about Social Security cuts to fabricated Pentagon spending sprees, these media missteps reveal a pattern that has many Americans questioning who they can trust for honest news.

The Fake News Factory Exposed

The media’s war on facts began immediately after President Trump took office. When CNN tried to “fact check” the President’s claim about Biden-era funding for transgender mice studies, they got caught in their own trap. After declaring the claim false, CNN had to update their story in shame when evidence proved Trump was right all along.

When reporters falsely claimed Gen. Colin Powell’s name had been removed from Arlington Cemetery listings, this hoax fell apart quickly when officials confirmed Powell’s name remained exactly where it belonged—honoring his service to our nation.

Astronauts Stranded, NPR Backtracks

Then there’s NPR, caught red-handed twisting the truth about NASA astronauts stuck in space. They called them “not stranded” after Trump and Musk vowed to bring them home, but NPR’s own reports had labeled them stranded before. This flip-flop reeks of political games—why change the story once Trump takes charge? It’s a slap in the face to Americans who want our heroes safe, not pawns in a media hoax.

Government Efficiency Triggers Media Meltdown

The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) became a media target when outlets falsely labeled its staff as “young, inexperienced engineers” staging a “government takeover.” These hoaxes crumbled when the truth emerged: DOGE is led by successful CEOs who paused their careers to help clean up government waste.

When Rep. Jasmine Crockett linked DOGE to a freeze on air traffic controller hiring after a plane crash, the facts showed traffic controllers were always exempt from the hiring freeze. The media amplified this falsehood anyway, showing how quickly hoaxes spread.

Immigration Lies Debunked

Media outlets worked overtime pushing immigration hoaxes. They portrayed Kilmar Abrego Garcia as an innocent “innocent Maryland father” unjustly deported. The truth? Garcia is an El Salvador citizen with documented gang ties who was legally removed from the country.

The media also misrepresented Mahmoud Khalil as a harmless graduate student when he was actually a pro-Hamas radical who led violent protests at Columbia. An immigration judge later ruled Khalil could be deported.

Health and Safety Distortions

Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. faced relentless attacks, with many outlets falsely branding him “anti-vaccine.” Kennedy debunked this claim during his confirmation hearings, yet the media keeps repeating it.

The New York Times falsely claimed Kennedy planned to ban fluoride in drinking water—while conveniently forgetting to mention their own previous reporting linking fluoride to lower IQ scores in children.

Fabricated Pentagon Drama

The media hit a new low when Fox News boosted claims that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth requested $140,000 in “upgrades” to his government residence. This story was so false that even the Associated Press admitted it was fake.

CBS News also claimed Hegseth ordered a “makeup studio” installed in the Pentagon. The truth? It was an existing green room with no special features.

Social Security Scare Tactics

Democrats and media allies repeatedly pushed the false narrative that President Trump wants to cut Social Security. Senator Schumer led this charge despite President Trump’s consistent pledge to protect Social Security for American citizens.

What Americans Should Know

The pattern of media hoaxes raises serious questions about news reliability. When outlets give the White House just minutes to respond before publishing false stories, it shows a breakdown in journalistic standards. The administration has repeatedly provided facts to counter these narratives.

As these media hoaxes continue piling up, what will it take for news organizations to return to fact-based reporting that Americans can trust? The growing gap between reporting and reality threatens the foundation of an informed democracy.
